In this 264th issue of the Baba Indaba’s Children's Stories series, Baba Indaba narrates the Cornish legends of “A FAIRY WEDDING.”
ONCE upon a time, long, long ago and far, far away, it is said that one May day long ago, the hills of Eurostena smiled with rare and remarkable beauty. It was the wedding day of Neraidos, a fairy youth, and Neraida, a fairy maid.

Vassos of Trikkala, after searching for thirty-three years, had at last found the Neraidovotano, a fairy plant by which he was able to communicate with the fairy world and because he could communicate with the fairy world, he had been invited to this most significant celebration. On the day he was enveloped in cloud and whisked away to a place where no human had before set foot…….
But what happened at the wedding you may ask? Why was Usually once a human had set their eyes upon fairydom, they were very seldom permitted to return. But why was Vassos allowed to return to the real world? Well, you’ll just have to download and read the story to find out why.

Baba Indaba is a fictitious Zulu storyteller who narrates children's stories from around the world. Baba Indaba translates as "Father of Stories".

Each issue also has a "WHERE IN THE WORLD - LOOK IT UP" section, where young readers are challenged to look up a place on a map somewhere in the world. The place, town or city is relevant to the story. HINT - use Google maps.
