Nel 2002 Kevin Roche ha donato l'archivio dello studio Eero Saarinen and Associates alla Yale University. Consultando i disegni originali, le lettere ed altri materiali rari Matrix International ha scoperto alcuni progetti di Furniture Design fino ad allora inediti e ne ha approfondito lo studio per svilupparne la produzione industriale. Le Lounge Seats per il General Motors Technical Center, i tavoli per il Vassar College e le sedute modulari per la Law School della Chicago University fanno oggi parte della collezione di Matrix International. L'unità organica nel progetto d'arredo rappresenta la sintesi di questa esperienza e offre un'ampia prospettiva sul lavoro di Saarinen nel campo del Furniture Design. MASSIMO IMPARATO ha conseguito la Laurea Magistrale in Architettura. Ha collaborato con Giancarlo De Carlo nel campo dell'Urban Design, e alcuni suoi progetti sono stati premiati in concorsi internazionali. Ha coperto ruoli primari sia nell'ambito industriale sia in quello accademico. Ha insegnato al Politecnico di Milano, all'Università di Trento e al Florence Institute of Design. È attualmente Visiting Assistant Professor all'American University of Sharjah, UAE. Nel 2000 ha fondato StudioBau, con il quale opera all'intersezione tra Architettura, Interior e Furniture Design. È stato Art Director di aziende del mobile, tra cui Azucena, fondata da Igniazio Gardella e Luigi Caccia Dominioni. È attualmente Product e Creative designer per Matrix International. In 2002 Kevin Roche donated the Eero Saarinen and Associates office archives to the Yale University Library. By inspecting the original drawings, letters and other rare materials Matrix discovered projects of furniture, never published before, and studied them in depth for starting a manufacturing process. The lounge seats for the General Motors Technical Center, the tables for the Vassar College and the seats for the Law School of the Chicago University are now part of Matrix International Furniture collection. The Organic Unit in Furniture Design is the synthesis of that experience, and presents a wide perspective on Saarinen's work in the field of Furniture Design. MASSIMO IMPARATO earned a Master Degree in Architecture. He collaborated with Giancarlo De Carlo in the field of Urban Design, and his projects in this domain have been awarded in international competitions. He covered strategic positions both in Academy and Industry fields. He taught at the Milan Politecnico, at the University of Trento, and the Florence Institute of Design. He is now Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. In 2000, he founded the StudioBau, a design firm that operates at the intersection of architecture, interior design and furniture. As a consultant, he curated the artistic direction for some manufacturers, among which Azucena, the design brand created by Ignazio Gardella and Luigi Caccia Dominioni. Currently, he is a product and creative design consultant at Matrix International.
